The Cost of Compassion: Organizational Culture and Self-Care as Moderators between Compassion Fatigue and Compassion Satisfaction in Counselors
February 3, 2021
Dear Potential Research Participant,
As a graduate student in the Counselor Education and Family Studies Department at Liberty University, I am conducting research as part of the requirements for my doctoral degree. Two weeks ago, an email was sent to you inviting you to participate in a research study. This follow-up email is being sent to remind you to complete the survey if you would like to participate and have not already done so.
If you choose to participate, you will be asked to complete a 103-item survey. It should take approximately 20 minutes for you to complete the assessments listed: Demographic Survey, Professional Quality of Life Scale (ProQOL), Trauma Informed Organizational Culture Survey (TIOC), Self-Care Practices Scale (SCPS), and Vicarious Traumatization Questionnaire (VTQ). Your participation will be completely anonymous, and no personal, identifying information will be required.
In order to participate, please click the following link to complete the survey: https://liberty.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_cYZsPe9oxOue65T
A consent document is provided as the first page of the survey. The consent document contains additional information about my research. After you have read the consent form, please click the. button stating "Yes, I consent to participate in this study" followed by the arrow button to proceed to the survey. Doing so will indicate that you have read the consent information and would like to take part in the survey.
At the conclusion of the survey, participants will be given the option to email the researcher to be entered into a raffle for the chance to win one of three $50 gift cards. Participants will be given a password that they can email to the researcher in order to confirm that they completed the survey and enter themselves into the drawing. Emailing the researcher to enter into the raffle is completely voluntary. The participants email information will be kept private. The researcher will only use the email provided to contact winners of the raffle. At the conclusion of the study, the emails provided will be deleted.
