Description: MACES 2024 Conference Series 1. March 27th 2024 12pm-1:30pm live on Zoom. Social Justice Supervision: Decolonizing the Profession by Collete Dollarhide, LPC-S (OH), NCC.

Program Description:

In this webinar, we will problematize supervision as it is currently practiced, and outline a model for supervision that centers the personhood and identities of the supervisee, teaches social justice and liberatory praxis to supervisees, and then extends that social justice and liberatory praxis to clients.

Learning Objectives:

1. Recognize current supervision approaches and deconstruct the white hegemony embedded in supervision.

2. Analyze a systemic, holisitic, liberatory, and anti-oppressive model of supervision.

3. Discuss and formulate the application of the model to participant's practice.
