Keynote Speaker: Dr. Marty Jencius AKA “Technophile”

Dr. Jencius is the founder and list manager of CESNET-L a professional online listserv for counselor educators. He is the co-founding editor of The Journal of Technology in Counseling, a web-based, peer reviewed journal, and founder/editor of CounselorAudioSource.net, a podcast series for counselors.
Currently, Dr. Jencius technology interests include virtual worlds as co-founder of Counselor Education in Second Life SL.CounselorEducation.org. He is also on the editorial boards of The International Journal for the Advancement of Counselling and the Counselor Education and Supervision Journal and is a writer/editor of a monthly column, The Digital Psyway, in Counseling Today, the monthly publication of The American Counseling Association. Dr. Jencius was elected to serve as President of the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision for 2014-2015.
Anne "Nancy" M. Wheeler, JDundefined Dr. Wheeler will
talk primarily on the implications of HITECH liability on
counselors. She coordinates the risk management helpline
for the ACA Insurance Trust Inc. and a consultation plan
for members of the American Psychiatric Association.
Rob Reinhardt, LPC-S. Mr. Reinhardt will be busting technology myths! In his talk, "Busting Myths - Top Ten Myths About Technology Use In Counseling" he will address common misconceptions about technology use in counseling, including legal (HIPAA) and ethical implications. He has his own private practice and years of experience running, and working in a variety of successful businesses, including his private practice consulting firm.
